About FindRescue.uk
One place to find the right help, fast.
When you are standing over an injured animal, you should not have to search through dozens of websites to find someone who can help. FindRescue.uk brings every UK rescue we can find into one directory — and puts the ones with space at the top.
How the ranking works
Results put rescues that have confirmed they have space first, then the nearest. Rescues that are full are still shown — at the bottom, clearly marked — so you know not to ring them. A status is treated as current for 72 hours, then reverts to “not confirmed” rather than pretending to be up to date.
Where the data comes from
Listings were compiled from public sources: rescue websites, charity registers and national directories. Every listing links to its source and says when it was last confirmed. Postcode lookups use ONS and Ordnance Survey open data.
For rescues
Every listed rescue can have a private link that opens a one-page status switch: Open, Limited, Full or Closed. No password, no account, no app. Email us to get yours, or to correct your details.
Who runs it
FindRescue.uk is independent and run by one person. It carries no adverts and no trackers. If it helped you, a coffee goes on the server and the time spent keeping listings current.
What this site is not
We are a signposting directory, not a rescue service, a vet or an emergency service. We do not collect or transport animals. Capacity is self-reported by each rescue and may be out of date, so please always ring before you travel.
